Hydra Tanks began as a 2022 GameDev.TV game jam submission. It is a top-down 2D retro arcade style shooter.
The playable web version and 0.1 versions are what was submitted for the game jam in 2022.
The downloadable Windows version 0.5-Single_Player_Early_Access is the latest version. It is an early iteration of this becoming a full game.
Until I get the Steam store page up, the current version of the game will be available here for FREE!
There will be a Steam release in the near future, including an early access for the full single player version, followed by a multi-player co-op full release version! Check out my Discord for more details!

WASD to move
Move Mouse to aim

TIPS
Crates drop upgrades when shot. Pick them up quick!
The wooden/barbed wire barricades are destructible.
This is a prototype, so there are exploits, but it will get hard quickly once you start destroying enemies.
A green light on the back of your tank indicates that the turret is loaded and ready to fire!
